It is with great pleasure and excitement that we announce our Jewish Community Center of MetroWest, L’Dor V’Dor—From Generation to Generation Gala. The Gala, to be held on Tuesday, May 6th at 6:30pm at the Crystal Plaza in Livingston, New Jersey will be a celebration of the JCC’s vital role in our community and will honor Ruth and Marty Barber and Neeli and Michael Margolis. We also look forward to being together to celebrate Yom Ha’Atzmaut (Israel Independence Day).

The Barbers have been stalwarts of the Jewish community, holding leadership positions in community agencies as well as the JCC. Marty is Secretary of the JCC Board of Trustees, as well as a linchpin of our Finance and Executive Committees. Neeli and Michael Margolis, young, new JCC Board members, have already distinguished themselves as members of the next generation of JCC leaders. Neeli serves on the Executive Committee of our Board and was the founder and first Chairperson of our outstanding Toast of the Town event.

As we celebrate L’Dor V’Dor, the passing of leadership from one generation to the next, we hope to raise significant funds for critical JCC programs. Each year thousands of individuals, young and old, participate in our early childhood programs, summer camps, wellness programs and Jewish and Israeli programming, in addition to community-wide events, theater programs, including our NJ Jewish Film Festival and our award-winning Florence Melton School of Adult Jewish Learning. We serve as an entry point for young, unaffiliated Jewish families. In addition, we provide opportunities for seniors and individuals with special needs to increase their quality of life through our social, wellness, and educational programs in a welcoming environment. Proceeds from our Gala will assure the continued strength of these programs and fund financial assistance for those unable to afford them.

A chief source of funds will be the Gala Tribute Journal. Please take this opportunity to honor the Barbers and the Margolises with an ad in our Gala Tribute Journal. All Tribute Journal submissions are tax-deductible to the extent allowed by law and are requested by April 11, 2014.

Please mark your calendar for May 6th and join us for a memorable evening at the Crystal Plaza. On behalf of JCC MetroWest, thank you in advance for your generosity and support.
