Young Adult and ChildJCC MetroWest Early Childhood Camps open the world of camping to your child while building independence, confidence, and self-esteem.

Our camps are specifically designed for your child’s age group:

Camp Katan (2s) provides a safe and secure environment with experienced, nurturing staff guiding your child’s first experience in a summer camChild with Racketp environment.  This very special program includes music, arts & crafts, water play, and Shabbat.

Camp Yeladim (3s) fosters more independence within a nurturingenvironment as your child grows.   Instructional swim, gym, lunch, special events, and theme weeks round out the day’s schedule, which may be extended with enrichment programming.

Camp Gadol (4s, 5s) offers “the big kids on campus” a world of activity. Daily instructional swim, sports specialties (t-ball, soccer, tennis, basketball, and more), karate, yoga, drama—all with experienced camp staff on the grounds and in the comfort of the Cooperman JCC building.  Shabbat, lunch, special events, and theme weeks too.

Our Camp

Magic, cooking, crafts, science, clay, dance, sewing, chemistry-we have it for your child! Three hours of specialized instruction from professional teachers in their chosen week's adventure, is combined with daily free swim, organized games outside or in our indoor gym, plus a snack to keep them going.

 

 

Our Staff

Our highly qualified staff is supported by the expertise of the JCC's full-time Camp, Sports & Recreation, and Aquatics staff. Our general staff and specialists are hand picked based on their experience, skills, and love of children.

 

Our Lunch & Snacks

Full lunch provided each day!!!

We will provide your child with lunch each day (included in the cost of camp)!  A kosher dairy snack is also provided each day.

Daily Schedule

9:00am-12:00pm- Specialized Program

12:00pm-12:30pm, Lunch - A kosher lunch will be provided each day. If your child has a special diet required, please send lunch with them every day.

12:30pm-1:00pm- Gym or Playground

1:00pm-1:45pm, Special Activity - Cooking, Art, Games, Teen Lounge, etc...

1:45pm-2:00pm- Change for Swim

2:00-2:30pm- Free Swim-All children must bring a bathing suit and towel

2:30-2:45pm- Change from swim

2:45-3:30pm- Snack - Kosher dairy snacks will be provided each day, if your child requires a special snack please send it with them.

Our Camp

Each day campers will explore acting, voice, and dance with working professionals. Each Wednesday campers experience the heart of the Broadway theater community, through weekly theater trips to NYC and regional houses, through insider workshops with working Broadway professionals and through on-site visits by some of the most creative forces working in theater today. All this while maintaining a "camp" atmosphere with swim/gym and relaxation time daily.

Camp Friends

Camp Deeny Riback, Flanders
Grades Pre-k - 6

Shadow Programs also available in most other camp programs based at Cooperman JCC, West Orange; please inquire with Camp Directors. 

Young people with developmental delays / special needs are able to enjoy outdoor summer camp. Integrated within camp, a "shadow" counselor helps each child fully maximize his or her experience.  Extra fee applies.

Door-to-door transportation to and from JCC available.

Campers in Alufim and Maccabi units may have a trip assessment fee applied. Trips determined on an individual basis.

* Enrollment is limited.
* Interview required.

Teen Tracks Travel

Cooperman JCC, West Orange
Ages 13-22 years

Our campers take part in weekly activities and day trips. Teen Tracks Travel includes continuous practicing and reinforcement of social and communication skill development activities.

Kids CampOur before & after camp care hours are designed to meet the needs of families requiring a more flexible schedule.

Extensions are available 7:30am-6:00pm, Monday-Friday. (Unless otherwise noted.)
