Coaches needed for JCC Basketball Teams

The JCC seeks experienced coaches for boys 5th and 6th grade travel basketball teams.
Must enjoy working with children, knowledge of basketball, reliability and appropriateness as a role model.

Early Childhood Caregiver

Warm, nurturing, and caring after school pre-school caregiver needed. Hours are 2:00pm to 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. Must have experience working with young children. Group Leader for Kids Club - Part-time

The group leader will work with a group of children, planning and implementing activities in a manner that motivates and engages children and strengthens their academic and social skills. All group leaders must be available and ready to work 5 days a week.
Hours per Week: 15
Salary range: $10-$12
RESPONSIBILITIES:
• Take daily attendance and report absences to the Kids Club Office in a timely manner.
• Be aware of any changes in a child's schedule and report these to the Kids Club Office.
• Supervise children at all times, as their health and safety is ALWAYS the first priority.
• Always be aware of how many children are in a group at any given time.
• Develop and maintain an effective system of classroom management that encourages children to develop pro-social behavior and self-discipline.
• Communicate regularly with the Kids Club Office regarding needs for materials and supplies to support the activities.
• Provide homework help as needed.
• Be available to any child that needs extra help with their homework.
• Be aware of classroom dynamics. Always ensure that new students are integrated into the group.
• Plan and implement activities.
• Report ALL illnesses or injuries to the Kids Club Office.
• Escort groups of children to and from activities throughout the building.
• The use of cell phones is not permitted during working hours. Cell phones and other electronics should not be brought to Kids Club. There is a phone in the Kids Club Office that can be used in case of emergency.
• Attend staff meetings on a monthly basis or as otherwise indicated.
• Attend and participate in staff trainings that will be offered throughout the year.
• Greet every child, parent and visitor to our program in a positive, cheerful manner.

Special Needs

The JCC special needs services department is looking for friendly, reliable adults (college students and teachers a plus!) to work in our special needs programs as Assistants and Program Leaders. The JCC special needs services department provides social recreation and enrichment programs for children, teens and adults with disabilities. JCC MetroWest Special Needs Services is looking for Part Time Program Leaders and assistants to facilitate various evening/weekend groups. College Degree preferred with background in special needs, physical education, sports, fitness, art, music, Jewish culture, etc. Competitive hourly rate based on education and experience. Water Safety Instructors/Lifeguards

JCC MetroWest is hiring aquatics professionals certified as Water Safety Instructors (WSI) and/or Lifeguards. We offer varied schedules and flexible hours. Current WSI certification is needed for all instructors. Lifeguards need current certification in Lifeguard Training, First Aid & CPR/AED for Lifeguards. Compensation for WSI starts at $13/hr and Lifeguards $8.50/hr and is commensurate with certifications and experience. Openings for Early Bird Lifeguard Shifts - Must be able to ensure arrival at 5:00am to open pools. Compensation for this shift is $12/hr.  Water Exercise Instructor

JCC MetroWest is looking for innovative instructors to join our cutting edge aquatic exercise program. We are planning our fall class schedule now so there are a variety of class openings.
