Fast Break Basketball
Basketball for kids!

JCC Basketball News:

As the air has gotten colder and the snow has begun to fall, it’s time to move our activities indoors. This is basketball season and the gym is definitely the place to be. Basketball at the JCC gives us the opportunity to learn and have fun. It’s the hard work and dedication that allows us to improve not only as basketball players but as people too. Our leagues provide clinic-style instruction and games for boys and girls and focus on the children’s physical, social, and emotional needs by providing a safe, encouraging, and non-pressured environment to develop their sports skills, learn teamwork, improve their self-esteem, and have a lot of fun.

On Sunday, October 21 starting at 2:00pm more than 50 kids entered the gym for the start of the Fast Break season. The gym was alive with energy and enthusiasm and everyone could feel the excitement for the start of the Fast Break basketball season. The kids have learned basic basketball skills that will build the foundation for a successful basketball career. The Fast Break program is split up into two parts—skills and games. Now that the skills portion of the program has come to an end we are excited to start to games.

On Sunday, December 2nd was the start of the games for the 2007-2008 season and quite a day it was. All athletes played extremely well and had a great time.
